With decades of experience with both carrier and agency ownership experience, Jeff is both a Licensed Broker and Licensed Insurance Adviser ( LIA ) and received his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. Jeff and The Alera Team collaboratively help to identify and manage the unique risks of Construction, Not-Profits, Fitness, and the emerging Cannabis industry to provide the best available coverage. Jeff has worked with many municipalities as a consultant and broker. As part of the Alera Group, the agency provides unequalled and dependable customer service and value.
Dedicated to working with non-for-profits, Jeff is a 18 year board member of the non-profit In-Control Family Foundation for Driving Safety https://driveincontrol.org/ , served 15 years on the board of the Norwell VNA & Hospice https://www.nvna.org/ , served on Campus of Caring Hospice, New Nursery School. He is past president of the Norwell Chamber of Commerce, Norwell Education Foundation, and the Norwell Men’s Club. A Bates College graduate, Jeff founded Bates College Men's Lacrosse Team, co-founded the Town of Norwell's annual 'Holiday on the Common' celebrations. Deeply rooted in his community, Jeff was Norwell’s 2001 “Citizen of the Year”. Jeff and his wife Cynthia are residents of Scituate, MA.
Jeff is an avid cyclist and annually rides the MS Boston to Provincetown (MA) ‘Bike MS Cape Cod Getaway’ and the ‘Ride to End Alzheimer’s.

Rosemarie Lopes heads our Employee Benefits division and serves as the agency's principal life insurance expert, utilizing more than 15 years of industry experience working with businesses and individuals to design programs that fit their strategic plans and goals. Her designs for health, dental, disability, life, long-term care and travel insurance coverage help clients protect their investments and provide security for the people they care about most.
A New Bedford native and graduate of New Bedford High School, Rose earned her Registered Health Underwriter (RHU®), Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC®) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designations through the American College of Financial Services.
She previously worked with AIG Insurance and Investors Bank & Trust Company in Boston. Before entering the insurance industry, she served six years in the U.S. Marine Corps. During her tenure in the Corps, she received multiple commendations and medals, including the National Defense Service Medal, two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, a Commandant of the Marine Corps Letter of Recognition and other awards.
The current vice president and past president of the board of directors for the Veterans Transition House in New Bedford, Rose also serves on the boards of the SouthCoast Insurance Agents Association, the SouthCoast Chamber of Commerce and A's b4, a newly formed nonprofit providing mentoring to youth. She is the SouthCoast Chamber Executive Committee's Vice Chair of Economic Affairs and also volunteers as a member of the United Way of Greater New Bedford’s Citizens Review Team.
