I love a parade! They’re enjoyable, fun and FREE.
On March 16th there will be one of the largest parades on the South Shore to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day. The parade kicks off on Washington Street in Abington Center at 1:00pm and ends up on North Avenue in North Abington Center. Every year thousands of people line the streets of Abington to enjoy the bands, floats and candy that is passed out all along the route. There are several bag pipe bands and drum & bugle corps, as well as many local marching bands. Area merchants get into the spirit with decorated cars and trucks.
